The Dunes Golf And Beach Club ~ 1.98 miles (Not Driving Distance)
Since its inception in the late 1940's, The Dunes has been considered one of the best courses in the Southeast. Currently #4 on Golfweek's list of South Carolina "Public Access Courses," this is one of Robert Trent Jones, Sr.'s trademark designs. Jones described the property as "a lovely piece ... where the Singleton Swash empties into the Atlantic," and his par-five 13th hole is arguably the best single hole he ever designed.
Note: The Dunes is only available to guests of Caravelle Resort (see lodging).... more info.
Barefoot Resort - Fazio Course ~ 5.49 miles (Not Driving Distance)
In addition to the Love Course listed above, you'll find three more world-class championship courses designed by Pete Dye, Tom Fazio, and Greg Norman. Each is accompanied by the kind of imaginative detail you find in a Hollywood spectacular. The Norman Course hugs the coastal wetlands. The Fazio Course is wide and wanders in and out of tree cover and alongside lakes, wetlands, and bunkers. The Dye Course is set on a beautiful section of land and features waste bunkers on almost every hole.... more info.
Tidewater Golf Club ~ 14.63 miles (Not Driving Distance)
Ranked by Golfweek as the 5th best public-access course in South Carolina, Tidewater sits on a high peninsula between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. Truly set on a remarkable piece of land, the beautiful layout winds its way through woodlands, tidal creeks, and marshlands. It's amazing, but don't just take it from us. Sports Illustrated described Tidewater as "Myrtle Beach's top course," while Golf Digest currently ranks the course 22nd among all the courses in the state. High praise indeed!... more info.
