The par-71 Heathland, by Tom Doak, is known for its lack of trees and menacing winds. Doak modeled the course after the great seaside links of the British Isles such as Lahinch, Cruden Bay, and St. Andrews. Although the fairways look wide and inviting from the tee, you'd better keep it straight as deep pot bunkers and thick rough await any wayward shot. In addition, your short game will be challenged by the undulating and well-guarded greens.
